An upper level disturbance pushed southeast across northern New Mexico and interacted with a stationary frontal boundary in the Rio Grande Valley. The combination of abundant moisture and instability and northwest flow aloft produced repeated rounds of heavy rainfall across areas in northern as well as central portions of the state including the Las Conchas burn scar and the Albuquerque Metro Area.
