Another nearly stationary band of thunderstorms developed where rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches had been observed in the previous 24 hours. This brought rainfall totals to more than 6 inches in Marble Hill. In Cape Girardeau County, fire personnel stopped traffic or closed roads at flooded spots.
