Thunderstorms in Pittsburg County produced very heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding. Street flooding occurred in the northwest part of the county, including in and near Scipio, and a pond dam was washed out near Scipio. Several county roads were flooded, and part of a county road was closed from near Scipio to 7 miles southeast of Scipio due to high water.
