Thunderstorms existed at dawn on the 8th in Indiana. With support for the mid and upper level winds, this mesoscale convective complex maintained its intensity through the morning. It raced southeast at 50 mph into western West Virginia during the afternoon. Most areas saw brief wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph and rains of a quarter to a half inch.
