A localized but significant flash flood event affected portions of northern Middle Tennessee during the late morning and afternoon hours on July 29. Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed across Middle Tennessee during the morning hours then moved eastward, with some showers and storms continuing to train over the same areas into the afternoon.
