A cluster of thunderstorms developed during the evening along an outflow boundary from earlier day convection across southwest Minnesota southwest of Marshall. The initial storm development produced a weak funnel cloud, but the main impact was from a couple hours of torrential rainfall which produced small stream flooding. Later in the night, a well organized linear structure swept eastward into southwest Minnesota, producing an isolated severe wind event just across the border from South Dako
