At the terminus of a 35 to 40 knot low-level jet, significant moisture transport and convergence contributed to several hours of slow-moving thunderstorms which traversed across the same locations. Rainfall from 4 to 8 inches was common in much of Lyon, Murray and Cottonwood counties.
