Flash Flood — Aug 10, 2025
An upper-level trough was situated such that strong ascent will be supported. While the strongest surface forcing is farther west, enough convection initiated and moving eastward into the CWA. While staying discrete at first, it quickly developed into a MCS. Through the middle of the night a cohesive cold pool developed and generated 2 80+ mph wind gust reports.
Flash Flood — Aug 3, 2020
A subtle shortwave trough in northwest flow aloft helped produce early morning thunderstorms. These early morning storms were isolated but slow moving allowing for rainfall totals up to 6 inches.
Flash Flood — Jun 1, 2019
An isolated severe thunderstorm produced large hail and subsequently flash flooding.
Flash Flood — May 27, 2015
Thunderstorms developed in a very unstable atmosphere aided by a short wave trough and residual outflow boundaries.
Flood — Jul 8, 2012
An MCS moved off the higher terrain of Colorado and produced widespread rain with some hefty amounts given the on-going drought.
