A very moist airmass and slow moving storms led to a multi-day heavy rainfall event for much of the area. 6 to 8+ inches fell in a swath from southwest OK northeast along the I-44 corridor. Several storms also produced isolated severe weather with hail and strong winds reported.

Storms continued into the 28th as a slow moving trough approached. Early morning convection produced numerous flood reports. Flash Flood — May 19, 2015

Severe storms developed near a stalled boundary across Oklahoma and the panhandles and moved eastward through the afternoon and evening of the 19th, causing widespread heavy rainfall and additional flooding. One fatality occurred near Cole in McClain county, as a vehicle was swept into floodwaters.

As the upper low continued to traverse the region, another round of storms started early on the 10th along a boundary in central Texas. These storms developed northeastward and moved east across southern Oklahoma through the morning.
