Periods of moderate to heavy rain occurred on February 17th into the 18th in response to a passing cold front. Southeast Ohio took the brunt of precipitation, resulting in 1 to 2 inches of rainfall accumulations. Many state roads in this portion of the state were forced to close due to the deluge of water along the roadways and were closed for over 24 hours.
