A weak warm frontal boundary extened from west central into southeast Iowa at sunrise on the 6th. Thunderstorms developed along the boundary, especially over southeast Iowa. The storms were very slow moving in a moist environment. The atmosphere was weakly sheared with the propagation vector nearly opposed to the environmental wind vector.
