A combination of heavy late April rains and the melting of a record snowpack led to significant flooding across Aroostook county. Many rivers and streams overflowed their banks...producing varying degrees of flooding across the county. The flooding impacted many towns...with many roads also closed. Significant damage to public infrastructure was also reported across the entire county. The flooding developed in late April and continued into early May.
