A broken squall line of showers and thunderstorms produced a few damaging wind events. The line moved rapidly east across southeast Missouri. The strongly forced squall line was affected by very limited instability and moisture. Dew points were in the upper 50's ahead of the line. A very strong low level jet in excess of 80 knots resulted in a few damaging wind gusts. Heavy rain forced the St. Francis River to go above flood stage.
