Small clusters of intense storms moved northeastward during the late afternoon and early evening. These pre-frontal storms were associated with a strengthening low-level jet and some cooling aloft. A surface warm front along the Arkansas border enhanced wind shear, contributing to an isolated very brief tornado despite weak instability.
