On February 17 and 18th a strong low pressure system tracked through southern Canada and ushered in an unseasonably warm and moist airmass. Temperatures surged into the 50s to low 60s. Steady rainfall accompanied by embedded heavier showers with the cold frontal passage produced about 0.75 inches of precipitation.
