Numerous showers and thunderstorms affected Middle Tennessee on February 22. Some of the storms became severe with a few reports of large hail and wind damage. In addition, heavy rainfall resulted in flooding across several areas of Middle Tennessee. Rainfall totals from February 21 to February 25 ranged from 3 to over 7 inches fell across the area, which led to widespread river flooding on most rivers and streams across the region through the rest of the month.
