A cold front passed through the region on May 16, 2022. This triggered several rounds of thunderstorms in the Proctor, VT area, producing between 2 and 3 inches of rainfall. Prior rainfall of a similar magnitude affected this same area two days prior (May 14), leading to saturated soils, and a susceptibility for flash flooding on the 16th.
