Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms moved across the region from the late evening of the 20th to the early evening of the 21st as low pressure deepened over the Central Plains, causing a warm front to lift northward across the region. Storms trained over extreme southwest Missouri during the early morning of the 21st and led to flooding over McDonald, Newton and Barry counties.
