Potential Tropical Cyclone One (PTC1) developed near the Yucatan Peninsula on June 2, and tracked across the southeastern Gulf of Mexico on June 3. PTC1 crossed the southern Florida peninsula from late evening on June 3 through the late afternoon on June 2.
