A thunderstorm complex produced isolated minor street flooding, followed by minor flooding of the St. Francis River. The thunderstorms were triggered by an early morning mesoscale convective vortex that tracked northeast from northwest Arkansas. A thunderstorm line propagated eastward, producing a short-duration heavy rain event. Over a wider region, enhanced low-level winds ahead of the convective vortex helped support a broad area of rain.
