With above normal amounts of atmospheric moisture and an easterly wave still in the area, the active monsoon pattern continued for portions of New Mexico on July 26, 2022. Thunderstorms developed early in the day and became more numerous throughout the afternoon and evening hours. The Calf Canyon burn scar was hit twice with heavy thunderstorms, but only reported rises along Gallinas Creek. Elsewhere, heavy rain caused flash flooding in San Juan County as well as near Glorieta and Tesuque. Note:
