The plume of deepest monsoon moisture shifted over portions of eastern Utah in response to a midlevel shortwave trough which tracked overhead. This resulted in an uptick in shower and thunderstorm activity. Storms were slow moving and produced heavy rain. Localized flooding occurred in Grand County.
