Typical summertime showers and thunderstorms produced isolated wind damage and heavy rainfall over the metro Atlanta area on June 27th, with the highest amounts over Atlanta proper and lower amounts stretching east and west along Interstate 20. In DeKalb county, radar estimates indicate that upwards of 3 inches of rain over the area, causing flooding over a portion of Interstate 20 and causing nearby rivers to respond.
