As the remnants of what was once Hurricane Kay off the coast of southern California continued to bring beneficial tropical moisture into New Mexico on September 12, 2022, it led to another day of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area. While heavy rainfall was observed with these thunderstorms along with slow storm motions, flash flooding reports were not received with the exception of the McBride burn scar.
