Flash Flood — Lawrence, PA

Aug 5, 2022

Slow moving pulse storms created flash flooding conditions across the region. The storms developed in a very moist, buoyant environment where 2000-3000 J/kg SBCAPE and 1.7-1.9 inch PW values, supported very efficient rainfall rates. Shear profiles were weak from the low levels to 300mb and created a 'pulse-type' behavior.
