A line of thunderstorms approached the local area from the north and stalled along and just north of the I-12 corridor. The heaviest storms along the stalled line set up near Denham Springs. This led to flash flooding as the line sat there. The storms weakened and eventually dissipated an hour an a half later, and the flooding was allowed to go subside.
