A strong closed upper low pressure system moved eastward across southern California on June 11. This system pulled up wrap around moisture and spread it westward into central California. While most locations reported light rainfall, showers and thunderstorms did produce locally heavy rainfall at some mountain RAWS stations during the afternoon and evening. One cell also produced roadway flooding in a flood prone area on the Mojave Desert resulting in some road closures during the evening of Jun
