Dec 3, 2022
A Bering low pushed a strong front into the Southwest Coast between December 3rd and 4th, sending strong southerly winds gusting as high as 60 to 70 mph into the coast along with a minor storm surge up to a few feet above the normal high tide line. Strong southerly winds also made it into the northern coastline of Bristol Bay, but faulty gauge data and difficulty in getting feedback from local communities left existence of any surge or impacts unclear.
