A pattern developed by late May with sufficient moisture and forcing to yield scattered showers and thunderstorms almost every day, generally from the afternoon on into the early evening hours. Some of these storms were strong, yielding damaging wind gusts and hail. Additionally, a road washout was reported as a result of continued spring runoff from the prior winter's record snowfall.
