Flash Flood — Potter, TX

May 31, 2023

Two different rounds of showers and thunderstorms overtook the combined Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles on the afternoon and evening of May 31st. The wave of storms produced severe wind gusts between 58 and 60 mph through the northwest TX Panhandle and portions of the Oklahoma Panhandle. The second wave of storms moved into the southwest TX Panhandle from eastern New Mexico later in the evening. These storms produced severe winds between 58 and 63 mph, as well as hail up to the size of nickels. T
