A weak disturbance passed through West Virginia on July 4th, resulting in showers and isolated thunderstorms. Moderate to heavy rainfall, combined with back building of storms, caused flash flooding in Calhoun and Roane Counties during the evening. Once storms departed eastward, high water issues dwindled.
