Abundant monsoon moisture surged into NM allowing for storms producing heavy rainfall and severe winds over portions of northeastern NM. Severe winds near Clayton, NM caused some damage on August 12th. Two more storms produced severe winds that were observed by automated weather stations at Santa Rosa and Tucumcari on August 13th.
