A weak upper level trough remained stagnant over North and Central Texas during the first week of July, generating isolated thunderstorms each afternoon. A few storms produced marginally severe hail and wind damage on the 3rd and 4th of July, while one slow-moving storm cluster produced flash flooding in Denton County.
