Yet another heavy rain event affected much of central and south central Iowa on the night of the 27th with Guthrie Center reporting 6.73 inches of rain. A few unofficial reports were as high as 7 inches that fell in the Stuart area of southeast Guthrie County. Rainfall in the metro Des Moines area ranged from 2 to as much as 5 inches.
