A cluster of severe storms developed across Massachusetts on the afternoon of the 21st. The heaviest rainfall persisted south of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts state line, however one storm edged into the Nashua area. Rainfall rates were extreme between 2 and 4 inches per hour leading to urban flooding.
