Showers and thunderstorms began to develop in southeast Ohio on the morning of August 7th, continuing into the afternoon ahead of and along a cold front. Gusty winds within strong to severe storms downed several trees, and blew a porch off of one home in Gallia County. There was also an instance of quarter sized hail in Athens County. Heavy rainfall yielded several roads and businesses in the Belpre area to flood.
