Heavy rainfall was focused in an area near the New York City Metropolitan area on September 29th, 2023. A bulk of the widespread flash flooding was in New York but was close enough to result in localized flash flooding in New Jersey. Rainfall totals in New Jersey were 1-2.5 inches, mainly near the NYC metro.
