Flash Flood — Greenwood, KS

Supercell thunderstorms developed along a nearly stationary frontal boundary across Central and South Central Kansas during the late afternoon hours. The highly sheared environment lead to the supercells producing tornadoes between Wichita, Kansas and Winfield Kansas. The supercell thunderstorms evolved into a complex of thunderstorms during the early morning hours of June 13th, 2008. The complex of thunderstorms moved slowly over Southeast Kansas producing flash flooding.
