A multi-day strong autumn storm system brought widespread rainfall to the region, including as much as 4-7 inches to portions of central South Dakota. While much of this rainfall was absorbed into the antecedent dry soils, enough runoff occurred to push the Missouri River at Springfield into Minor Flood Stage for a short period given its already high cool season flow. Impacts during the non-recreational season at this gage location are minimal.
