A cold front and pre-frontal trough slowly crossing the area stalled over the Eastern Lake Ontario area. As the front stalled, a few bands of heavy rain developed along the front as an influx of moisture moved in ahead of and along the front. This resulted in flash flooding overnight in southern Lewis County. Some of the highest rainfall amounts from this event, all from Lewis County, included 3.20 at Chases Lake; 3.14 at Croghan; and 2.11 near Glenfield.
