Active weather in the form of strong thunderstorms occurred on the afternoon of April 11th, with main impacts observed in southwest Virginia occurring due to flash flooding. Heavy downpours associated with passing storms caused multiple road closures where high water issues occurred in Buchanan and Dickenson Counties.
