A strong cold front moved through eastern Iowa, northeast Missouri, and northern Illinois from June 12 through midday June 13 bringing widespread heavy rains of 1 to 5 inches (with some areas receiving up to around 10 inches), flash flooding, large hail, damaging wind gusts, and two isolated weak tornadoes to the region.
