The remnants of tropical system Beryl moved across northwest Indiana on July 9th. Most of northwest Indiana saw rainfall totals ranging from 3 to 5 inches. The highest reported rainfall amount was 6.05 inches six miles southeast of Rensselaer in Jasper County. Despite these rainfall amounts, no significant flooding was reported.||Isolated thunderstorms developed across far northwest Lake County during the mid afternoon of July 9th. A narrow corridor of 3 to 4 inches of rain fell in this area
