Flash Flood — Kane, UT

Jul 21, 2024

A largely ridge-dominated pattern persisted, resulting in anomalously warm temperatures. These hot temperatures resulted in at least one instance of a heat related fatality. Despite the strong ridge, enough moisture continued to work into the area and help in the development of diurnal convection, some of which resulted in flash flooding over more rain sensitive areas.
