A stationary front draped across the forecast area provided a focus for convection through the afternoon and evening hours. Flash flooding was favored with mean atmospheric flow parallel to the surface boundary and high precipitable water values. Isolated severe thunderstorms developed as well causing instances of wind damage where they occurred.
