Hurricane Beryl made landfall near Matagorda Texas on the morning of the 8th. The remnants of Beryl quickly tracked northward after landfall, bringing spiral feeder bands of showers and thunderstorms into Arkansas during the afternoon and evening. Overnight on the 8th through the morning of the 9th, the remnants of Beryl tracked northeastward up Interstate 30 and Highway 67/167 through Arkansas. Although Isaac was a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, it had weakened to a tropical depression by the time it reached Arkansas. Isaac passed through western Arkansas on the evening of the 30th and during the day on the 31st.
