Hurricane Francine made landfall in Louisiana on September 11, 2024, and then moved into the southeast United States. While its path remained to the west of Middle Tennessee, heavy rainbands did bring rain to portions of the area. The highest rain amounts were received across the southwest, particularly in Lawrence County which caused minor flooding in the area. A few strong wind gusts were also reported which caused minor tree damage.
