An upper trough draped across the central and eastern U.S. and a stalled front over Central Texas combined to generated scattered showers and thunderstorms July 21 through July 23. Most of the storms remained sub-severe, but a few generated heavy rain and flash flooding in some locations, and one storm produced a damaging microburst in Hood County on the 21st.
