With the subtropical high pressure system centered over the Four Corners Region, the flow across the region was from the southeast. Thunderstorms developed during the afternoon hours, particularly over Pima County in southeast AZ, and were steered northwestward towards western Maricopa County with additional activity developing from outflow boundaries.
