An Atmospheric River brought over 7 inches of rainfall to Seward, AK, with 6 of 7 inches falling within a 48 hour period. Runoff from the rain pushed streams across the area into flood stage, with levees in the region being threatened by erosion. Heavy equipment was staged in the field over the course of the event, fighting to keep culverts open and free of debris to pass the flood flows. Roads were flooded and there was a a washout along Japanese Creek.
